from Mujāhid, from Ibn ʿAbbās, he raised it [to the Prophet] and said: and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is weak, as Layth, who is Ibn Abī Sulaym, had become confused. However, the ḥadīth is authentic as it has a supporting narration from Jābir (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) with a similar wording, reported by al-Shaykhān and others, and its wording has been previously mentioned under number (40).

- "When a man visits his Muslim brother, he walks in the harvest of Paradise until he sits. When he sits, mercy envelops him. If it is morning, seventy thousand angels pray for him until evening, and if it is evening, seventy thousand angels pray for him until morning." Reported by Aḥmad (1/81), Abū Dāwūd (3099), Ibn Mājah (1/440), al-Ḥākim (1/349), and Abū Yaʿlá in "Musnad" (77), and al-Bayhaqī (3/380) from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Laylá who said: "Abū Mūsá came to al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAlī to visit him, and ʿAlī (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) said to him: 'Have you come as a visitor or a gloating person?' He said: 'No, rather as a visitor.' So ʿAlī (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) said to him: 'If you have come as a visitor, then I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say...' and he mentioned it. Al-Ḥākim said: 'A ṣaḥīḥ ḥadīth according to the criteria of al-Shaykhān.' Al-Dhahabī agreed with him, and it is as they said. Al-Ḥākim and then al-Bayhaqī mentioned that it has a defect in its isnād, but the first clarified that it does not affect its authenticity. This is apparent. And Allāh knows best, especially since Abū Dāwūd said afterwards: 'This is reported from ʿAlī from the Prophet ﷺ through multiple authentic routes.' I said: And none of these routes is what al-Tirmidhī reported (1/181) through the route of Thuwair Abū Fākhtah from his father, who said:
