then he also narrated it with numerous chains from the ḥadīth of Anas, ʿĀʾishah, Jābir, and Abū Hurayrah, raised [to the Prophet] and more complete than that, and they are in "the two Ṣaḥīḥs" and others. I have also extracted them in "Ṣaḥīḥ Abī Dāwūd" (614-619).

- "When they pray over a funeral and speak well of [the deceased], the Lord says: I have accepted their testimony regarding what they know, and I forgive him for what they do not know." It was narrated by al-Bukhārī in "al-Tārīkh al-Kabīr" (2/1/154). Muḥammad ibn Ḥumayd said: Ḥakkām ibn Salm al-Rāzī narrated to us, he heard ʿĪsá ibn Yazīd Abū Muʿādh from Khālid ibn Kaysān from al-Rabīʿ bint Muʿawwidh that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. He included it in the biography of Khālid ibn Kaysān without mentioning any criticism or commendation. Ibn Abī Ḥātim did the same (1/2/348). As for Ibn Ḥibbān, he mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt" (3/58) and al-Ḥāfiẓ said: "Accepted." ʿĪsá ibn Yazīd Abū Muʿādh was translated by Ibn Abī Ḥātim (3/1/291) without mentioning any criticism or commendation, and Ibn Ḥibbān also deemed him trustworthy. Ḥakkām ibn Salm al-Rāzī is trustworthy. Muḥammad ibn Ḥumayd, who is al-Rāzī, was said by al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Ḥajar: "A weak ḥāfiẓ, but Ibn Maʿīn had a good opinion of him." In summary, the ḥadīth has a weak chain, but it has many supporting narrations which can be found in "Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid" (3/4), and I have extracted some of them in "Kitāb al-Janāʾiz" (p. 45).

- "When one of you visits a sick person, let him say: O Allāh, heal Your servant
