- "If one of you prays and does not know how he prayed, let him prostrate twice while sitting." It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (1/236 - al-Ḥalabī), al-Tirmidhī (2/243 - Shākir), Ibn Mājah (1/363-364), and Aḥmad (3/12) through the route of Yaḥyá ibn Abī Kathīr from ʿIyāḍ ibn Hilāl who said: I said to Abū Saʿīd: One of us prays and does not know how he prayed? He said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. Al-Tirmidhī said: "A good ḥadīth." I say: It is as he said or higher, and it means good due to other factors, and it was not deemed good on its own - and Allāh knows best - because ʿIyāḍ is unknown, and only Yaḥyá ibn Abī Kathīr narrated from him as in "al-Taqrīb," but he was followed by ʿAṭāʾ ibn Yasār from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī with a similar elevated narration. It was recorded by Muslim, Abū Dāwūd, and others, and it is included in "Ṣaḥīḥ Abī Dāwūd" (939), and it was also recorded by Ibn Ḥibbān (537) and al-Ḥākim (1/322) similar to Muslim's narration, and its chain is good, and it is a narration for Abū Dāwūd. And in the first route, there is an addition for which I included it in "Ḍaʿīf Abī Dāwūd" (187) and it is also with Ibn Ḥibbān (187-188).

- "If the imam prays sitting, then pray sitting." It was recorded by Ibn Abī Shaybah in "al-Muṣannaf" (2/65/2) narrated to us by Khālid ibn Makhlad from Sulaymān ibn Bilāl from Jaʿfar ibn Muḥammad who said: I heard al-Qāsim ibn Muḥammad say: Muʿāwiyah said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it.
