a man asked the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) about something concerning prayer. The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said to him... and he mentioned it. I said: Its narrators are reliable, except that this Ṣāliḥ, who is Ibn Nabahān, became confused. However, it has been mentioned that Ibn Abī Dhīb and others from the early generations narrated from him before his confusion, and Mūsá is earlier than him as previously verified under ḥadīth (1306), where I also mentioned a supporting witness for its first part. There is another supporting witness for the rest from the ḥadīth of Rifāʿah ibn Rāfiʿ with the authors of the Sunan and others, and it is included in "Ṣaḥīḥ Abū Dāwūd".
- "If you shoot game and find it after three nights with your arrow in it, then eat it as long as it has not become rotten." It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (2861) through the route of Ḥammād ibn Khālid al-Khayyāṭ from Muʿāwiyah ibn Ṣāliḥ from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Jubayr ibn Nufayr from his father from Abū Thaʿlabah al-Khushanī from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam). I said: This isnād is authentic according to the conditions of Muslim, and it was included in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (6/59) through the route of Maʿn ibn ʿĪsá who narrated from Muʿāwiyah similarly, without the phrase: "your arrow in it."
- "When you decorate your mosques and adorn your copies of the Quran, destruction will be upon you." It was narrated by Ibn Abī Shaybah in "al-Muṣannaf" (1/100/2 - manuscript of al-Ẓāhiriyyah): Abū Khālid al-Aḥmar from Muḥammad ibn ʿAjlān from Saʿīd ibn Abī Saʿīd as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. I said: This isnād is mursal and ḥasan. It has a mawqūf supporting witness narrated by Bakr ibn Sawādah from Abū al-Dardāʾ who said: and he mentioned it with some rearrangement
