I said: He is weak in ḥadīth as mentioned in "al-Taqrīb." And al-Ṭabarānī also reported it through his route in "al-Kabīr" as mentioned in "al-Majmaʿ" (4/296).
- "Do not be impressed by anyone's deeds until you see how they conclude, for a person may perform righteous deeds for a period of his life, and if he dies upon them, he would enter Paradise. Then he may change and perform evil deeds. And a servant may perform evil deeds for a period of his life, and if he dies upon them, he would enter Hell. Then he may change and perform righteous deeds. When Allāh intends good for a servant, He employs him before his death and guides him to a righteous deed, (then seizes him upon it)." It was reported by Aḥmad (3/120, 123, 230, 257) and Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim in "al-Sunnah" (347-353) through various routes from Ḥumayd from Anas ibn Mālik who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is authentic according to the criteria of al-Bukhārī and Muslim. And its first part was mentioned by al-Suyūṭī from the narration of al-Ṭabarānī from Abū Umāmah, and its isnād is weak as clarified by al-Munāwī. Therefore, he should have attributed it to Aḥmad as well, indicating its strengthening, as is often his habit.
- "Whoever learns a verse from the Book of Allāh, he will have its reward as long as it is recited." It was reported by Abū Sahl al-Qaṭṭān in "His Narrations from His Teachers" (4/243/2), narrated to us by Muḥammad ibn al-Jahm, narrated to us by Yazīd ibn Hārūn, informed us by Abū Mālik al-Ashjaʿī from his father who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is good and rare, its narrators are trustworthy, the men of Muslim except for Muḥammad ibn
