It was recorded by Ibn Jarīr al-Ṭabarī in his "Tafsīr" (vol. 5, p. 600, no. 6231) through the route of Saʿīd from Qatādah regarding his statement: "They do not ask people persistently": it was mentioned to us that the Prophet ﷺ used to say: and he mentioned it. It was also narrated by Ibn al-Mundhir as in "al-Durr al-Manthūr" (vol. 1, p. 359). It was narrated by Naṣr al-Maqdisī in "al-Arbaʿīn" (ḥadīth 21) from the narration of ʿĀʾishah as a marfūʿ ḥadīth, and it includes ʿIṣmah ibn Muḥammad ibn Faḍālah al-Anṣārī, who is accused of lying and fabricating. Al-Ṭabarānī narrated (p. 84/2 - from "al-Muntaqá") from Suwār ibn Muṣʿab al-Hamdānī from ʿAmr ibn Qays al-Malāʾī from Salamah ibn Kuhayl from Shaqīq ibn Salamah from Ibn Masʿūd: he said: and he mentioned the story of a man with Fāṭimah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhā) and her palm leaf, and in it is a marfūʿ ḥadīth that came: "By Allāh, He loves the gentle, modest, chaste, self-sufficient person, and He dislikes the obscene, vulgar, persistent beggar." But Suwār is abandoned as al-Nasāʾī and others have said. Abū Yaʿlá recorded in his "Musnad" (vol. 1, p. 295) and Abū Bakr ibn Sulaymān al-Faqīh in "Majlis min al-Amālī" (vol. 16, p. 1) and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Shuʿab" (vol. 2, p. 231, no. 1) all from the route of ʿUthmān ibn Abī Shaybah who narrated to us from ʿImrān ibn Muḥammad ibn Abī Laylá from his father from ʿAṭiyyah from Abū Saʿīd as a marfūʿ ḥadīth with the wording: "Indeed, Allāh is beautiful and loves beauty, and He loves to see His blessing on His servant, and He dislikes misery and pretentiousness." And ʿAṭiyyah and Muḥammad ibn Abī Laylá are weak.

"When one of you reaches a gathering, if space is made for him, let him sit, otherwise let him look for the widest space he sees and sit there." It was narrated by al-Salafī in "al-Ṭuyūriyyāt" (vol. 65, p. 1) and Ibn ʿAsākir (vol. 8, p. 77, no. 2) through the route of al-Baghawī who narrated to us from Muḥammad ibn Sulaymān Lawīn who narrated to us from Ibn ʿUyaynah from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Zurārah from Muṣʿab ibn Shaybah from his father as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. Then I saw it in a piece of ḥadīth from Lawīn (vol. 2, p. 2) with this isnād. (See the correction number 312/22)
