al-Khaṭṭābī said in "Maʿālim al-Sunan" (4/358) commenting on the ḥadīth: "this seems to indicate that the dislike for it is because he was commanded to swear by Allāh and His attributes, and trustworthiness is not one of His attributes; rather, it is one of His commands and obligations. Therefore, they were forbidden from it due to equating it with the names and attributes of Allāh."
قال الخطابي في " معالم السنن " (٤ / ٣٥٨) تعليقا على الحديث:" هذا يشبه أن تكون الكراهة فيها من أجل أنه إنما أمر أن يحلف بالله وصفاته،وليست الأمانة من صفاته، وإنما هي أمر من أمره، وفرض من فروضه، فنهوا عنهلما في ذلك من التسوية بينها وبين أسماء الله ﷿ وصفاته ".
"Look at her, for there is something in the eyes of the Anṣār, meaning smallness." It was recorded by Muslim in "Ṣaḥīḥ" (4/142), Saʿīd ibn Manṣūr in "Sunan" (523), as well as al-Nasāʾī (2/73), al-Ṭaḥāwī in "Sharḥ al-Maʿānī" (2/8), al-Dāraquṭnī (396), and al-Bayhaqī (7/84) from Abū Ḥāzim from Abū Hurayrah: "A man wanted to marry a woman from the women of the Anṣār, so the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said." I said: so he mentioned it. The context is from al-Ṭaḥāwī, and the wording of Muslim and al-Bayhaqī: "I was with the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and a man came to him and informed him that he had married a woman from the Anṣār, so he said to him
- " انظر إليها، فإن في أعين الأنصار شيئا. يعني الصغر ". أخرجه مسلم في " صحيحه " (٤ / ١٤٢) وسعيد بن منصور في " سننه " (٥٢٣) وكذا النسائي (٢ / ٧٣) والطحاوي في " شرح المعاني " (٢ / ٨) والدارقطني (٣٩٦) والبيهقي (٧ / ٨٤) عن أبي حازم عن أبي هريرة: " أن رجلا أراد أن يتزوج امرأة من نساء الأنصار، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ". قلت: فذكره. والسياق للطحاوي، ولفظ مسلم والبيهقي: " كنت عند النبي ﷺ، فأتاه رجل، فأخبره أنه تزوج امرأة من الأنصار، فقال له
