al-Khaṭṭābī said in "Maʿālim al-Sunan" (4/358) commenting on the ḥadīth: "this seems to indicate that the dislike for it is because he was commanded to swear by Allāh and His attributes, and trustworthiness is not one of His attributes; rather, it is one of His commands and obligations. Therefore, they were forbidden from it due to equating it with the names and attributes of Allāh."

"Look at her, for there is something in the eyes of the Anṣār, meaning smallness." It was recorded by Muslim in "Ṣaḥīḥ" (4/142), Saʿīd ibn Manṣūr in "Sunan" (523), as well as al-Nasāʾī (2/73), al-Ṭaḥāwī in "Sharḥ al-Maʿānī" (2/8), al-Dāraquṭnī (396), and al-Bayhaqī (7/84) from Abū Ḥāzim from Abū Hurayrah: "A man wanted to marry a woman from the women of the Anṣār, so the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said." I said: so he mentioned it.
