" he indicated its soundness, and it includes Muḥammad ibn Jābir (originally: Ḥātim) al-Yamāmī." I said: it is in the isnād of Aḥmad only, not the others we mentioned, and he was followed by ʿAbd Allāh ibn Badr al-Yamāmī, who is trustworthy, so the ḥadīth is authentic and all praise is due to Allāh.
- "If a man calls his wife, she should respond even if she is on the back of a camel saddle." It was narrated by al-Bazzār in "his Musnad" (p. 155 - its additions): Muḥammad ibn Thaʿlabah ibn Muḥammad ibn Sawāʾ narrated to us: (Muḥammad ibn Sawāʾ narrated to us) (1) Saʿīd narrated from Qatādah from al-Qāsim al-Shaybānī from Zayd ibn Arqam that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said it, and he mentioned it. And he said: "We do not know anyone who narrated it with this wording except Zayd, and (no one) narrated it from Saʿīd from Qatādah except Muḥammad." I said: and he is trustworthy, one of the men of the two Shaykhs, and most of his narration is from Saʿīd ibn Abī ʿArūbah and those above him are trustworthy from the men of Muslim. As for Muḥammad ibn Thaʿlabah, a group of imams narrated from him, among them Abū Zurʿah, and it is known about him that he only narrates from trustworthy individuals, and the ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Taqrīb": "truthful," so the isnād is authentic. He was followed by Bishr ibn ʿAbd al-Malik: Muḥammad ibn Sawāʾ informed us with it in the wording: "A woman should not prevent her husband from herself even if she is on a camel saddle." It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Awsaṭ" (1/170/1) from Muḥammad ibn Yazīd al-Asfaṭī: Abū Yazīd al-Kūfī Bishr ibn ʿAbd al-Malik narrated it to us. And he said: "No one narrated it from Qatādah except Saʿīd, and no one narrated it from him except Muḥammad ibn Sawāʾ, and al-Asfaṭī was unique in narrating it from Bishr." I said: I do not know this Bishr, and one should refer to "al-Jarḥ wa-al-Taʿdīl" for him, as I do not have access to it
