and ʿĀṣim ibn ʿUbayd Allāh is weak as mentioned earlier, and it seems he was confused about it. Sometimes he narrates it from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿĀmir ibn Rabīʿah from his father as in this narration, and sometimes from him from his father from ʿUmar as previously mentioned (no. 4). The mentioned addition is authentic, supported by the previous ḥadīth of Ibn Masʿūd, as well as the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah in "the two Ṣaḥīḥs" and others.

- "When one of you puts his feet in his leather socks while they are pure, he should wipe over them for three days if he is a traveler and for a day and a night if he is a resident." It was narrated by Ibn Abī Shaybah in "al-Muṣannaf" (1/123): Wakīʿ from Jarīr from Ayyūb from Abū Zurʿah ibn ʿAmr ibn Jarīr who said: I saw Jarīr wiping over his leather socks. He said: Abū Zurʿah said that Abū Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. I say: This isnād is authentic; all its men are trustworthy, men of the two Shaykhs. It has a corroborating narration from the ḥadīth of Ṣafwān ibn ʿAssāl al-Murādī who said: "The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) sent us on an expedition and said: One of you should wipe over his leather socks if he is a traveler for three days and their nights, and the resident for a day and a night." It was recorded by al-Bayhaqī (2/282) with an authentic isnād.

- "When one of you desires something from his wife, let him approach her even if she is on a baking oven." It was recorded by al-Tirmidhī (1/217), Ibn Ḥibbān (1295), Aḥmad (4/22-23), and al-Bayhaqī (7/292) from Qays ibn Ṭalq from his father who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. Al-Tirmidhī said: "A good and rare ḥadīth." I say: Its isnād is authentic. The ḥadīth was attributed by al-Suyūṭī in "al-Jāmiʿ" to Aḥmad and al-Ṭabarānī only! Al-Munāwī said:
