it can be concluded from the above that al-Zuhrī has two isnāds with two different wordings, one of which is abridged and the other extended, and it is from the ḥadīth of Muʿāwiyah. It includes an additional statement: "Whomever Allāh intends good for, He gives him understanding in the religion. I am only a distributor, and Allāh is the one who gives. This nation will remain steadfast on the command of Allāh, not harmed by those who oppose them until the command of Allāh comes."
ويستنتج مما تقدم أنللزهري فيه إسنادين بلفظين أحدهما مختصر، والآخر مطول وهو من حديث معاويةوقد جاء بزيادة أخرى وهو: " من يرد الله به خيرا يفقهه في الدين وإنما أناقاسم والله يعطي ولن تزال هذا الأمة قائمة على أمر الله لا يضرهم من خالفهمحتى يأتي أمر الله ".

- "Whomever Allāh intends good for, He gives him understanding in the religion. I am only a distributor, and Allāh is the one who gives. This nation will remain steadfast on the command of Allāh, not harmed by those who oppose them until the command of Allāh comes." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (1/25 and 26, 4/49, and 8/149) and al-Ṭaḥāwī in "al-Mushkil" (2/278) from Yūnus ibn Yazīd from Ibn Shihāb, who informed Ḥumayd, who said: I heard Muʿāwiyah ibn Abī Sufyān delivering a sermon, saying: I heard the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: and he mentioned it. It was also recorded by Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr in "al-Jāmiʿ" (1/20) and narrated by Aḥmad (4/101) from ʿAbd al-Wahhāb ibn Abī Bakr from Ibn Shihāb with it, without the phrase (I am only a distributor, and Allāh is the one who gives) and added at the end: (and they are dominant over the people) which is with al-Ṭaḥāwī, and also in a narration by al-Bukhārī. It is also with Muslim through another route from Muʿāwiyah with the wording: "They will not cease." It was previously mentioned as number (270). And al-Dārimī narrated (1/75, 76) from ʿAbd al-Wahhāb the first part of it. There are other routes from Muʿāwiyah mentioned recently and it was reported with other additions, so see: "al-Khayr ʿĀdah" and it was previously mentioned as number (651). And what follows after the ḥadīth. It was reported with the wording "Whomever Allāh intends good for, He gives him understanding in the religion, and a group of Muslims will continue to fight for the truth, being dominant over those who oppose them until the Day of Judgment." It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/93), narrated to us by Kathīr ibn Hishām, who said: Jaʿfar narrated to us, who narrated from Yazīd ibn al-Aṣamm, who said: I heard Muʿāwiyah ibn Abī Sufyān mention a ḥadīth he narrated from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) which I did not hear him narrate any other ḥadīth from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) except this one - that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. This isnād is authentic according to the criteria of Muslim, and Jaʿfar is Ibn Burqān. It was also recorded by Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr (1/20) and likewise by Muslim (6/53 and 54).
- "من يرد الله به خيرا يفقهه في الدين وإنما أنا قاسم والله يعطي ولن تزال هذه الأمة قائمة على أمر الله لا يضرهم من خالفهم حتى يأتي أمر الله". أخرجه البخاري (١ / ٢٥ و ٢٦ و ٤ / ٤٩ و ٨ / ١٤٩) والطحاوي في "المشكل" (٢ / ٢٧٨) عن يونس بن يزيد عن ابن شهاب أخبر حميد قال: سمعت معاوية بن أبي سفيان خطيبا يقول: سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول: فذكره. وكذلك أخرجه ابن عبد البر في "الجامع" (١ / ٢٠) ورواه أحمد (٤ / ١٠١) عن عبد الوهاب بن أبي بكر عن ابن شهاب به دون قوله (وإنما أنا قاسم والله يعطي) وزاد في آخره: (وهم ظاهرون على الناس) وهي عند الطحاوي، وكذا البخاري في رواية. وهي عند مسلم من طريق أخرى عن معاوية بلفظ: "لا تزال". وتقدم برقم (٢٧٠). وروى الدارمي (١ / ٧٥، ٧٦) عن عبد الوهاب الجملة الأولى منه. ولها طرقا عن معاوية ذكرت قريبا وورد بزيادات أخرى فانظر: "الخير عادة" وتقدم برقم (٦٥١). وما يأتي بعد حديث. وورد بلفظ "من يرد الله به خيرا يفقهه في الدين ولا تزال عصابة من المسلمين يقاتلون على الحق ظاهرين على من ناوأهم يوم القيامة". أخرجه أحمد (٤ / ٩٣) حدثنا كثير بن هشام قال: حدثنا جعفر حدثنا يزيد بن الأصم قال: سمعت معاوية بن أبي سفيان ذكر حديثا رواه عن النبي ﷺ لم أسمعه روى عن النبي ﷺ حديثا غيره - أن النبي ﷺ قال: فذكره. وهذا سند صحيح على شرط مسلم وجعفر هو ابن برقان. وقد أخرجه ابن عبد البر أيضا (١ / ٢٠) وكذا مسلم (٦/ ٥٣ و ٥٤).
