"I said, according to the conditions of Muslim." and it is as he said. The ḥadīth was mentioned in "al-Majmaʿ" (10/271-272): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Kabīr' and 'al-Awsaṭ', and its narrators are those of the authentic collections except for Abū Ḍarīr al-Akbar, who is trustworthy."

"When you come to your family, act wisely." It was narrated by al-Khaṭīb in "Tārīkh Baghdād" (12/295-296) through the route of ʿAṭāʾ ibn Jablah from Ibn Jurayj from Abū al-Zubayr from Jābir who said: "I returned from a journey and came to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and he said... (and he mentioned it). When I came to my family, I said: The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said... (and he mentioned it), she said: Go ahead." I said: This isnād is weak. Ibn Jurayj and Abū al-Zubayr are known for tadlīs, and ʿAṭāʾ ibn Jablah was said by Ibn Maʿīn: "He is nothing." Abū Zurʿah al-Rāzī said: "His ḥadīth is objectionable." Abū Ḥātim said: "He is not strong." I say: However, the ḥadīth is authentic through other routes. Al-Shaʿbī narrated from Jābir that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said to him, "When you enter at night, do not enter upon your family until the absent one shaves and the disheveled one combs her hair." He said: And the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "When you enter, be wise, be wise." It was narrated by Aḥmad (3/298) and al-Bukhārī (9/298). It was also narrated by him and Muslim (4/176), al-Dārimī (2/146), and al-Bayhaqī (4/254) from this route in a more complete form with the wording: "When you arrive, be wise, be wise." It mentions that they were on a military expedition. In another narration by al-Bukhārī: "Be wise, be wise, O Jābir. Meaning the child." Al-Bukhārī said: "ʿUbayd Allāh followed him from Wahb from Jābir from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) regarding wisdom." I said: Al-Bukhārī connected it in "al-Buyūʿ" (4/269) in a lengthy form similar to the extended narration of al-Shaʿbī
