- "The Holy Spirit will continue to support you as long as you defend Allāh and His Messenger." It was recorded by Muslim (7/164-165) from Abū Salamah ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān from ʿĀʾishah that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "Satirize Quraysh, for it is more severe on them than being struck with arrows." So he sent for Ibn Rawāḥah and said: Satirize them, but he was not satisfied. Then he sent for Kaʿb ibn Mālik, and then he sent for Ḥassān ibn Thābit. When Ḥassān entered, he said: It is time for you to send for this lion who strikes with his tail, then he stuck out his tongue and began to move it. He said: By the One who sent you with the truth, I will tear them apart with my tongue as leather is torn. The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "Do not rush, for Abū Bakr is the most knowledgeable of Quraysh about their lineages, and I have a lineage among them, so let him clarify my lineage for you." Ḥassān went to him and then returned and said: O Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), my lineage has been clarified for me, and by the One who sent you with the truth, I will extract you from them as a hair is extracted from dough. ʿĀʾishah said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say to Ḥassān: the ḥadīth. She said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: "Ḥassān attacked them and was healed and satisfied." Ḥassān said: You satirized Muḥammad, and I responded on his behalf, and with Allāh is the reward for that. You satirized Muḥammad, the righteous, the devout, the Messenger of Allāh whose trait is loyalty. For my father, his father, and my honor are a shield for Muḥammad's honor against you. May my daughter be bereaved if you do not see them stirring up dust from the sides of Kudaʾ, racing the spears upward on their shoulders. Our steeds remain drenched, women striking them with veils. If you turn away from us, we will perform ʿumrah, and the victory will come, and the cover will be lifted. Otherwise, be patient for a day of striking when Allāh will honor whom He wills. And Allāh said: I have sent a servant who speaks the truth without ambiguity. And Allāh said: I have facilitated an army, they are the Anṣār, ready for the encounter. Every day they face from Maʿadd insults, fighting, or satire. Whoever among you satirizes the Messenger of Allāh and praises him and supports him is the same. Jibrīl, the Messenger of Allāh, is among us, and the Holy Spirit has no equal
