I heard an elder from the Banū Hāshim, and he mentioned sheep, saying: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said... and he mentioned it. It was recorded by Ibn Abī Shaybah in "his Musnad" (2/76/1). I said: Its narrators are trustworthy except for the Hāshimī elder. If he is a Companion, then the isnād is authentic because the unknown status of a Companion does not harm [the narration], which is apparent from Ibn Abī Shaybah including it in "the Musnad." And if he is a Successor, then it is mursal. This is more likely because Abū Ḥayyān—whose name is Yaḥyá ibn Saʿīd ibn Ḥayyān—was not mentioned as narrating from any of the Companions, only from the Successors, and thus the ḥāfiẓ included him in the sixth level. In any case, this isnād is acceptable as supporting evidence.

- "The first to be clothed will be the friend of Allāh, Ibrāhīm (ʿalayhi as-salām)." It was narrated by al-Bazzār in "his Musnad" (254 - Zawāʾid) and Ibn ʿAsākir (2/178/1) from Layth, from Mujāhid, from ʿĀʾishah as marfūʿ. Al-Bazzār said: "The isnād is good"! I said: Layth is weak due to his memory, but the ḥadīth is authentic, as it was narrated by al-Bukhārī (2/339/370) and Muslim (8/157) and also by Ibn ʿAsākir (2/2177) from the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAbbās and Ibn ʿAsākir from the ḥadīth of Ibn Masʿūd.

- "Delay the loads (on the camels), for the hand is suspended, and the foot is tied." It was narrated by Abū al-Qāsim ibn al-Jarrāḥ, the minister, in the seventh session of "al-Amālī" (2/1) and Ibn Ṣāʿid in "A Part of His Ḥadīths" (2/9) and al-Mukhliṣ in the second of the sixth of "al-Fawāʾid al-Muntaqāh" (188/1) from Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah, from Wāʾil ibn Dāwūd, from Ibn Hayʿanī Bakr ibn Wāʾil, from al-Zuhrī, from Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyib, from Abū Hurayrah as marfūʿ
