from this perspective, it was narrated by al-Nasāʾī (in al-Kubrā), al-Ṭayālisī, al-Ḥārith ibn Abī Usāmah, ʿAbd ibn Ḥumayd, and Abū Yaʿlá al-Mawṣilī, all from Jarīr with it, as in "Zawāʾid Ibn Mājah" by al-Būṣīrī (Q 145/2), and he said: "The isnād of its men is trustworthy." I said: and they are among the men of the two Shaykhs. It was also narrated by Aḥmad (1/18) and al-Ḥākim (1/114) through the route of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Dīnār from Ibn ʿUmar from ʿUmar with it in a similar wording: "Treat my Companions well, then those who follow them..." the ḥadīth in a similar manner. And he said: "Authentic according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs," and al-Dhahabī agreed with him. Then he narrated another route for it from Saʿd ibn Abī Waqqāṣ who said: "ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb stood at al-Jābiyah..." the ḥadīth, and he said: "Its isnād is authentic." And al-Dhahabī agreed with him. In it is Muḥammad ibn Muhājir ibn Mismār, and I did not find a biography for him in the sources I have, but his father is trustworthy among the men of Muslim, and they did not mention his son Muḥammad among those who narrated from him! In summary, the ḥadīth is authentic through its collective routes.
ومن هذا الوجه أخرجه النسائي (في الكبرى) والطيالسي والحارث بن أبي أسامة وعبد بن حميد وأبو يعلى الموصلي كلهم عن جرير به، كما في "زوائد ابن ماجة" للبوصيري (ق ١٤٥ /٢) وقال: "إسناد رجاله ثقات". قلت: وهم من رجال الشيخين. وأخرجه أحمد (١ / ١٨) والحاكم (١ / ١١٤) من طريق عبد الله بن دينار عن ابن عمر عن عمر به نحوه بلفظ: "استوصوا بأصحابي خيرا، ثم الذين يلونهم ..." الحديث نحوه. وقال: "صحيح على شرط الشيخين" ووافقه الذهبي. ثم أخرج له طريقا أخرى عن سعد بن أبي وقاص قال: "وقف عمر بن الخطاب بالجابية...." الحديث، وقال: "إسناده صحيح". ووافقه الذهبي. وفيه محمد بن مهاجر بن مسمار ولم أجد له ترجمة فيما عندي من المصادر، وأما أبوه فثقة من رجال مسلم ولم يذكروا في الرواة عنه ابنه محمدا هذا! وجملة القول أن الحديث صحيح بمجموع طرقه.
- "Put them both on or take them both off. When you wear [shoes], start with the right, and when you remove [them], start with the left." It was narrated by Aḥmad (2/409, 430, 497) through routes from Shuʿbah from Muḥammad ibn Ziyād who said: I heard Abū Hurayrah say: Abū al-Qāsim (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. In another wording for him (2/477): "When one of you puts on shoes, let him start with the right, and when he removes them, let him start with the left, so that he puts them both on or takes them both off."
- "أحفهما جميعا أو أنعلهما جميعا، فإذا لبست فابدأ باليمنى وإذا خلعت فابدأ باليسرى". أخرجه أحمد (٢ / ٤٠٩ و ٤٣٠ و ٤٩٧) من طرق عن شعبة عن محمد بن زياد قال: سمعت أبا هريرة يقول: قال أبو القاسم ﷺ: فذكره. وفي لفظ له (٢ / ٤٧٧): "إذا انتعل أحدكم فليبدأ باليمنى وإذا خلع فليبدأ باليسرى لينعلهما جميعا أو ليحفهما جميعا".
