Narrated by al-Ṭabarānī (3/112/1) and from him by al-Ḍiyāʾ in "al-Mukhtārah" (67/114/2) through two chains from al-Ḥasan ibn Aḥmad ibn Abī Shuʿayb al-Ḥarrānī, who reported from Miskīn ibn Bukayr, who reported from Muḥammad ibn Muhājir, from Ibrāhīm ibn Abī Ḥurah, from Mujāhid, from Ibn ʿAbbās as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. Al-Dhahabī said in "al-Mīzān": "al-Sājī weakened him, but Ibn Maʿīn, Aḥmad, and Abū Ḥātim declared him trustworthy and added: there is no harm in him, he saw Ibn ʿUmar, and Maʿmar and Ibn Maʿīn narrated from him, and he was from Jazīrah and lived in Mecca." I said: Thus, the isnād is ḥasan at the least. Al-Mundhirī said in "al-Targhīb" (2/133): "Narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Kabīr' and its narrators are trustworthy, and by Ibn Ḥibbān in his (Ṣaḥīḥ)." Similarly in "Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid" (3/286). I said: Al-Haythamī did not mention it in "Mawārid al-Ẓamʾān," so it appears he missed it. Al-Manāwī quoted from al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Ḥajar that he said: "Its narrators are reliable, and there is some discussion about it, but it is strong in follow-ups, and it has been reported from Ibn ʿAbbās through another chain as marfūʿ." (Note) The term "baqiyyah" appears in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" with a yāʾ after the qāf, and its copy is well-corrected and compared, as it appears in "al-Majmaʿ" and "al-Jāmiʿ al-Kabīr" (2/27/2) and some copies of "al-Jāmiʿ al-Ṣaghīr."
