the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) entered and heard the sound of a crying child, so he said: and he mentioned it. This isnād is good, and all its narrators are reliable, the narrators of the two Shaykhs, except for Abū Uways, who is ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Uways. In "Taqrīb," it is said: "Truthful, but makes mistakes." Muslim also narrated it in the supporting evidences. ʿĀʾishah has another ḥadīth on ruqyah with the wording: (He used to command her to seek ruqyah) and it will come, if Allāh wills, under number (2521).
- "O ʿĀʾishah, among the worst of people are those whom people abandon or leave because of their wickedness." It was narrated by al-Bukhārī (4/125-126, 142), Muslim (8/21), Abū Dāwūd (4791), al-Tirmidhī (1/360), and Aḥmad (6/38) through the chain of Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah from Muḥammad ibn al-Munkadir from ʿUrwah ibn al-Zubayr from ʿĀʾishah, she said: "A man sought permission to enter upon the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) while I was with him, so he said: What a bad member of the tribe or brother of the tribe." Then he permitted him, and he spoke to him gently. When he left, I said: O Messenger of Allāh! You said to him what you said, then you spoke gently to him? He said: and he mentioned it, and the context is from al-Tirmidhī who said: "A good, authentic ḥadīth." I said: And the wording of the two Shaykhs and others is: "The worst of people in status with Allāh on the Day of Resurrection..." There is another chain from Muḥammad ibn Fulaīḥ who said: My father narrated to us from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Maʿmar from Abū Yūnus, the freed slave of ʿĀʾishah, from her, she said: "A man sought permission to enter upon the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and he said: What a bad member of the tribe. When he entered, the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) smiled at him and was friendly towards him. Then he left, and another man sought permission, and the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: What a good member of the tribe. When he entered, he was not as friendly towards him as he was towards the other, nor did he smile at him as he smiled at the other. When he left, I said: O Messenger of Allāh, so-and-so sought permission
