and there is a fifth path in the Musnad (2/248) from Yaḥyá ibn Jaʿdah, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr and the reciter, who said: I heard Abū Hurayrah say: "No, by the Lord of this House, it was not I who said: 'Whoever wakes up in a state of major ritual impurity should not fast.' Muḥammad, by the Lord of the House, said it. It was not I who prohibited fasting on Friday; Muḥammad prohibited it, by the Lord of the House." And this chain of transmission is authentic; its narrators are trustworthy. The ḥadīth is in "the two Ṣaḥīḥs" and others from the narration of Jābir, elevated without exception, and it has been previously mentioned in its entirety similarly from Abū Hurayrah under number (980). The prohibition of fasting while in a state of major ritual impurity is abrogated as clarified in its place in the books of the sunnah and others.

"The thing I fear most for my nation is every hypocrite with an eloquent tongue." It was narrated by Aḥmad (1/22 and 44) and Ibn Baṭṭah in "al-Ibānah" (5/48/2) from Maymūn al-Kurdī, from Abū ʿUthmān al-Nahdī, who said: I was with ʿUmar while he was delivering a sermon to the people, and he mentioned it in his sermon, elevated. I say: Its chain of transmission is authentic. Maymūn al-Kurdī was deemed trustworthy by Abū Dāwūd and Ibn Ḥibbān, and Ibn Maʿīn said: "There is nothing wrong with him," and in another narration: "He is righteous." It was also narrated by Ibn Baṭṭah through the path of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Buraydah that ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb said: "The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) entrusted to us..." and he mentioned it. Its narrators are trustworthy, but it is disconnected, and the teacher of Ibn Baṭṭah in it is Abū Bakr Muḥammad ibn Maḥmūd al-Sarrāj, whom al-Khaṭīb mentioned (3/261), and narrated his reliability from Abū al-Fatḥ Yūsuf al-Qawwās, and from Abū al-Qāsim al-Abnūdī: "There is nothing wrong with him."
