the expiations are mentioned in the authentic ḥadīths, all praise is due to Allāh, and on this topic, the ḥāfiẓ Ibn Ḥajar authored his well-known book on expiations. The chapter referred to is very extensive in Islamic law; whoever is knowledgeable about it would not fall into the ignorance that this deluded person has, such as the statement of Allāh: "and the recitation of the Qurʾān at dawn" (Sūrah al-Isrāʾ, 78); meaning: the dawn prayer, and His saying: "So recite what is easy [for you] of the Qurʾān" (Sūrah al-Muzzammil, 20); meaning: pray what is easy of the night prayer, and similar examples are many. Of this kind is the aforementioned ḥadīth (764 - "The family of so-and-so are not my allies...") the ḥadīth; for it is not to be taken in its general sense. Al-Dāwūdī said: "The negation here refers to those among them who did not embrace Islam." The ḥāfiẓ commented on it in "al-Fatḥ" (10/420): "That is, it is a case of using the whole to mean a part, and the negation applies to the group, not to everyone." Some readers may object to my description of this author as "deluded," so I say: if this person and others like him are not deluded, then there is no one in the world who deserves this description. Listen to how he says after grading this ḥadīth (p. 36): "Its isnād was authenticated by al-Ḥākim, and al-Dhahabī agreed with him, and Ibn Ḥajar deemed its chain good, and Shaykh Nāṣir al-Dīn al-Albānī authenticated it in 'al-Ṣaḥīḥah' (959) for its various chains! And this ḥadīth, although most of its chains are not authentic (1), is objectionable in its text because it contradicts the authentic ḥadīths..." and so on as previously mentioned about him. So let us assume, dear readers, that Shaykh al-Albānī has no knowledge in the opinion of this deluded person,
