I said: And all its narrators are trustworthy, narrators of Muslim, except for Zayd ibn Arṭāh, who is trustworthy as mentioned in "al-Taqrīb." Then al-Bayhaqī narrated it through the route of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ṣāliḥ, who reported to me from Muʿāwiyah ibn Ṣāliḥ with it, except that he mentioned ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir instead of Abū Dharr. Then al-Bayhaqī said: "It is possible that Jubayr ibn Nufayr narrated it from both of them, and others narrated it from Aḥmad ibn Ḥanbal without mentioning Abū Dharr (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) in its isnād." I said: It was also narrated in a mursal form in the book "al-Zuhd" by Aḥmad as mentioned in "al-Jāmiʿ al-Ṣaghīr," but Salamah ibn Shabīb, who narrated it from him in a connected form, is trustworthy and was relied upon by Muslim, so his addition is accepted. The ḥadīth is further strengthened by a supporting narration from Abū Umāmah, reported in a marfūʿ form with a weak isnād, which I have included in "al-Mishkāt" (1332).
