It was recorded by Abū ʿUbayd in "Gharīb al-Ḥadīth" (p. 37/2). However, this Al-Faraj is weak. Ḥammād ibn Salamah also disagreed with them, [saying]: Yaḥyá ibn Saʿīd al-Anṣārī narrated to us from ʿUbayd ibn Sanūṭá from Khawlah bint Qays that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. It was recorded by Ibn Ḥibbān (1864) through the route of Muʾammal ibn Ismāʿīl: Ḥammād ibn Salamah narrated it to us. However, this Muʾammal is truthful but has poor memory, as stated in "al-Taqrīb". From this documentation, it appears that the narrators disagreed about Yaḥyá ibn Saʿīd in his isnād, and the more likely narration is from those who said from Yaḥnas because they are more numerous. Then, the narration from those who said from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Dīnār from Ibn ʿUmar is preferred because he is trustworthy as previously mentioned, and this is further supported by the follow-up of Mūsá ibn ʿUbaydah, and although he is weak as previously noted, there is no harm in following up with him, if Allāh wills. This Yaḥnas is also known as Abū Mūsá. Ibn Abī Ḥātim said (4/2/313): "He narrated from ʿUmar, Abū Saʿīd, and Abū Hurayrah, and he was narrated from by Wahb ibn Kaysān, Yaḥyá ibn Saʿīd al-Anṣārī, Ibn al-Hād, and Qaṭn ibn Wahb." He did not mention any criticism or endorsement about him. There is also corroboration for the ḥadīth from the narration of Abū Hurayrah, cited by al-Haythamī in "al-Majmaʿ" (10/237), who said: "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Awsaṭ', and its isnād is good."
