and the first part of it has a supporting narration reported by Muḥammad ibn ʿAmmār ibn Saʿd al-Muʾadhdhin, narrated to us by Sharīk ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Namr from Anas ibn Mālik, attributed to the Prophet. It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ" and from him by al-Ḍiyāʾ al-Maqdisī in "al-Mukhtārah" (129/2) and al-Qaḍāʿī in "Musnad al-Shihāb" (2/2/2) through the route of ʿUthmān ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿUthmān al-ʿUthmānī, narrated to us by Muḥammad ibn ʿAmmār ibn Saʿd al-Muʾadhdhin with it. Al-Ṭabarānī said: "ʿUthmān ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿUthmān is unique in narrating it." I said: Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan followed him: narrated to me by Muḥammad ibn ʿAmmār with it. It was recorded by Ibn ʿAdī in "al-Kāmil" (306/2). Thus, the isnād is ḥasan. Muḥammad ibn ʿAmmār was deemed trustworthy by Ibn Ḥibbān, and a group narrated from him. Sharīk is trustworthy from the men of the two Shaykhs, although there is some issue with his memory. It was also recorded by Ibn Wahb (p. 30) in a muʿḍal form, saying: narrated to me by Sulaymān ibn al-Qāsim and Jarīr ibn Ḥāzim, attributed to the Prophet. Jarīr is trustworthy from the followers of the Followers. Sulaymān was mentioned by Ibn Abī Ḥātim (2/1/137) without any criticism or praise.

- "A person is on the religion of his close friend, so let each of you look at whom he befriends." It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (2/293 - al-Tāziyyah), al-Tirmidhī (2/278 - with Sharḥ al-Tuḥfah), al-Ḥākim (4/171), Aḥmad (2/303, 334), al-Khaṭīb (4/115), and ʿAbd ibn Ḥumayd in "al-Muntakhab min al-Musnad" (154/1) from Zuhayr ibn Muḥammad al-Khurāsānī, narrated to us by Mūsá ibn Wardān from Abū Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. Al-Tirmidhī said:
