thus he said, but the correct statement is that of al-Dhahabī in "al-ʿUlū" (no. 5 - its abridged version): "Its narrators are trustworthy." This is because Abū Isḥāq, who is al-Sabīʿī, had become confused, and he was also a mudallis. (Note) His statement in this ḥadīth "in" is in the meaning of "on" as in His saying, the Exalted *"Say: Travel in the land"* (Sūrah al-Anʿām, verse 11). Thus, the ḥadīth is among the many evidences that Allāh, the Exalted, is above all creations. In this regard, the ḥāfiẓ al-Dhahabī authored his book "al-ʿUlū lil-ʿAliyy al-ʿAẓīm." I have recently completed its abridgment, provided it with a comprehensive introduction, authenticated its ḥadīths and reports, and purified it from weak narrations. May Allāh facilitate its printing.

- "The believer is the mirror of the believer, and the believer is the brother of the believer; he protects him from loss and guards him from behind." It was narrated by Ibn Wahb in "al-Jāmiʿ" (p. 37), and from him by Abū Dāwūd (2/304) and al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (no. 239) through the route of Kathīr ibn Zayd from al-Walīd ibn Rabāḥ from Abū Hurayrah from the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and he mentioned it. I say: This isnād is good as al-Ḥāfiẓ al-ʿIrāqī stated in "Takhrīj al-Iḥyāʾ" (2/160) and it was agreed upon by al-Munāwī, but it was not authenticated due to the disagreement regarding Ibn Zayd. Al-Ḥāfiẓ said in "Taqrīb": "Truthful, but makes mistakes."
