It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/292) and al-Tirmidhī (3/325), who said: "A good ḥadīth, and in one version: good, authentic, and rare." And I say: Shurayk has poor memory, but it indicates that he preserved the narration of Aḥmad from ʿUbādah and Muʿādh mentioned earlier. There is no contradiction between them and the narration of others "as between the heaven and the earth" because their narration is detailed and the other is general, and the detailed takes precedence over the general as is known from the principles of jurisprudence.

"Whoever is overcome by vomiting does not have to make up [the fast]." It was narrated by al-Ḥarbī in "Gharīb al-Ḥadīth" (5/55/1): Ḥakam ibn Mūsá narrated to us, ʿĪsá ibn Yūnus narrated to us from Hishām from Muḥammad from Abū Hurayrah as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. I say: This isnād is authentic, its men are the men of Muslim, but some have criticized it with what does not undermine it. I have discussed it and clarified its authenticity in my commentary on the treatise "al-Ṣiyām" by Ibn Taymiyyah, and then in "al-Irwāʾ" (905).

"I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula until I leave none but a Muslim." It was recorded by Muslim (5/160), Abū Dāwūd (2/43), and al-Tirmidhī (2/398) who authenticated it, and Aḥmad (number 201) through the route of Ibn Jurayj: Abū al-Zubayr narrated to us that he heard Jābir ibn ʿAbdullāh say: ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb informed me that he heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say it.
