"There is no day in which the servants of Allāh arise except that two angels descend. One of them says: 'O Allāh, give to the one who spends a replacement,' and the other says: 'O Allāh, give to the one who withholds destruction.'" Narrated by al-Bukhārī (3/237) and Muslim (3/83-84) through the route of Abū al-Ḥabbāb Saʿīd ibn Yasār from Abū Hurayrah, attributed to the Prophet. It has a corroborating narration from Abū al-Dardāʾ with the wording: "The sun has never risen..." and it has been mentioned. Ibn Ḥibbān (815) narrated it through the route of ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī ʿAmrah from Abū ʿAmrah from Abū Hurayrah, attributed to the Prophet, with the wording: "Indeed, an angel at one of the gates of Paradise says: 'Who will lend today and be rewarded tomorrow?' and an angel at another gate says: 'O Allāh, give to the one who spends a replacement and give to the one who withholds destruction.'" I say: This is a sound chain of narration. It has a corroborating narration from Abū al-Dardāʾ, attributed to the Prophet, similar to it. Narrated by Ibn Ḥibbān (814), al-Ḥākim (2/445), and Aḥmad (5/197).

"Whoever believes in Allāh and His Messenger, establishes prayer, and fasts during Ramaḍān, it is incumbent upon Allāh to admit him to Paradise, whether he strives in the path of Allāh or remains in the land in which he was born." They said: "O Messenger of Allāh, should we not give the people glad tidings?" He said: "Indeed, in Paradise there are one hundred levels which Allāh has prepared for those who strive in His path. The distance between each level is like the distance between the heaven and the earth. So, when you ask Allāh, ask Him for al-Firdaws, for it is the middle of Paradise and the highest part of Paradise—I think—above it is the Throne of the Most Merciful, and from it flow the rivers of Paradise."
