- "The most beloved religion to Allāh is the tolerant monotheism." Al-Bukhārī mentioned it in his Ṣaḥīḥ in the "Book of Faith," saying: "Chapter: Religion is easy, and the saying of the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)" and he mentioned it. He also connected it in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" number (283), Aḥmad in the Musnad (number 2108), and al-Ḍiyāʾ in "al-Mukhtārah" (64/37/2), all from the route of Yazīd ibn Hārūn from Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq from Dāwūd ibn Ḥuṣayn from ʿIkrimah from Ibn ʿAbbās who said: "The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was asked which religion is most beloved to Allāh, the Almighty? He said: the tolerant monotheism." Its narrators are trustworthy, but Ibn Isḥāq is known for tadlīs and he narrated it in an ambiguous manner. Al-Haythamī said in "al-Majmaʿ" (1/50): "It was narrated by Aḥmad and al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Kabīr' and 'al-Awsaṭ' and al-Bazzār, and it includes Ibn Isḥāq who is a mudallis and did not explicitly state hearing." From this, you learn that the statement of al-Ḥāfiẓ in "al-Fatḥ" (1/78) after attributing it to "al-Adab al-Mufrad" and "al-Musnad": "And its chain is good" is not accurate, and that the verifier of the Musnad exaggerated when he said: "Its chain is authentic"! Then I found supporting evidences for the ḥadīth which strengthen it, which I have documented in "Tamām al-Niʿmah fī al-Taʿlīq ʿalá Fiqh al-Sunnah" (vol. 1, p. 1).

- "Does one of you think, reclining on his couch, that Allāh has not forbidden anything except what is in this Qurʾān? Indeed, by Allāh, I have commanded, admonished, and prohibited things that are like this Qurʾān or more, and Allāh has not permitted you to enter the houses of the People of the Book except with permission, nor to strike their women, nor to eat their fruits, if they give you what is due from them."
