It was recorded by Aḥmad (6/451), al-Kharāʾiṭī, and al-Tirmidhī (3/149) without his saying "and there is nothing heavier..." and added: "And whoever is deprived of his share of gentleness is indeed deprived of his share of goodness." He said: "A ḥadīth that is ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ." I said: This Ibn Mamlak was not authenticated by anyone other than Ibn Ḥibbān, and no one narrated from him except Ibn Abī Mulaykah, and therefore the ḥāfiẓ said: "Accepted," meaning when corroborated. From this perspective, it was recorded by al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (464) and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Sunan" (10/193) similar to the wording of al-Tirmidhī and added: He said: "The heaviest thing in the believer's scale is good character; indeed, Allāh despises the obscene and foul-mouthed." This addition was also recorded by Ibn Ḥibbān (1920) and likewise by al-Tirmidhī (1/145) with the wording: "There is nothing heavier in the believer's scale on the Day of Resurrection than good character, for indeed Allāh, the Exalted, despises the obscene and foul-mouthed." He also said: "A ḥadīth that is ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ." You have known what is in it, but the first part of it has been authenticated from the first path, and it has a corroborating narration from the ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah mentioned earlier (518). The other part has two corroborations, one of them from the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAmr with the wording: "the obscene and foul-mouthed."
أخرجه أحمد (٦ / ٤٥١) والخرائطي والترمذي (٣ / ١٤٩) دون قوله " وليس ..." وزاد: ومن حرم حظه من الرفق، فقد حرم حظه من الخير ". وقال: " حديث حسن صحيح ". قلت: ابن مملك هذا لم يوثقه غير ابن حبان ولم يرو عنه غير ابن أبي مليكة، ولذلك قال الحافظ: " مقبول " يعني عند المتابعة. ومن هذا الوجه أخرجه البخاري في " الأدب المفرد " (٤٦٤) والبيهقي في " السنن " (١٠ / ١٩٣) مثل لفظ الترمذي وزاد: وقال: " أثقل شيء في ميزان المؤمن خلق حسن، إن الله يبغض الفاحش البذي ". وهذه الزيادة أخرجها ابن حبان أيضا (١٩٢٠) وكذا الترمذي (١ / ١٤٥) ولفظه: " ما شيء أثقل في ميزان المؤمن يوم القيامة من خلق حسن، فإن الله تعالى يبغض الفاحش البذي ". وقال أيضا: " حديث حسن صحيح ". وقد عرفت ما فيه لكن الشطر الأول منه قد صح من الطريق الأول، وله شاهد من حديث عائشة مضى (٥١٨). والشطر الآخر له شاهدان أحدهما من حديث ابن عمرو بلفظ: " الفاحش المتفحش ".
