"a ḥadīth that is ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ." I said: and it meets the criteria of al-Shaykhayn. Muslim also reported it from Sufyān, but he did not provide its wording; rather, he referred to the wording of ʿUqayl from Ibn Shihāb, which was mentioned earlier with the wording: "regarding the black seed..." number (859). Then Aḥmad also reported it (2/268), as did Muslim from Maʿmar from al-Zuhrī with it. Al-Zuhrī has another isnād for it, narrated from Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyib from Abū Hurayrah with this wording. It was reported by Muslim and Aḥmad (2/510). It has a supporting narration from ʿĀʾishah with this wording. Aḥmad reported it (6/138): Wakīʿ narrated to us, saying: Abū ʿUqayl narrated to me from Bahiyyah from her. Abū ʿUqayl's name is Yaḥyá ibn al-Mutawakkil al-Madanī, and he is weak, and Bahiyyah is unknown. It has another supporting narration from Ibn ʿUmar with this wording. Ibn Mājah reported it (2/342) through the route of ʿUthmān ibn ʿAbd al-Malik, who said: I heard Sālim ibn ʿAbd Allāh narrating from his father that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. This ʿUthmān is lenient in ḥadīth, but the rest of the men are trustworthy, the men of Muslim.
