Saʿīd al-Maqburī from his father from Abū Hurayrah. Aḥmad narrated it from Ibn ʿAjlān with the wording: "If one of you strikes, let him avoid the face and do not say, 'May Allāh disfigure your face and the face of those who resemble you,' for Allāh created Adam in His image." Aḥmad said (2/251 and 434): Yaḥyá narrated to us from Ibn ʿAjlān from Saʿīd from Abū Hurayrah as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. And this isnād is ḥasan. Ibn Khuzaymah also narrated it in "al-Tawḥīd" (p. 26) and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Asmāʾ wa-al-Ṣifāt" (p. 291). Al-Bukhārī said in "al-Adab al-Mufrad": ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad narrated to us, saying: Ibn ʿUyaynah narrated to us from Ibn ʿAjlān with it, except that he stopped it at Abū Hurayrah, and al-Ājurī suspended it. Al-Bukhārī narrated it from another route from Ibn ʿUyaynah with it as marfūʿ, limiting it to the statement: "Do not say, 'May Allāh disfigure his face.'" It appears that Ibn ʿAjlān sometimes narrated it as marfūʿ and other times stopped it, but the ḥadīth is undoubtedly marfūʿ. Abū Dāwūd narrated the first part of it (2/243) from the route of ʿUmar, meaning Ibn Abī Salamah, from his father from Abū Hurayrah as marfūʿ. And its isnād is ḥasan in the follow-ups.

- "You must take this black seed, for in it is a cure for every disease except death." It was narrated by al-Tirmidhī (2/3) and Aḥmad (2/241) from Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah from al-Zuhrī from Abū Salamah from Abū Hurayrah as marfūʿ. And al-Tirmidhī said:
