and her ḥadīth has two other paths, so refer to what was previously indicated regarding the supporting evidences, and it will appear under number (1819) with the wording: (the black seed).

- "Birds fly according to destiny. And he liked good omens." It was recorded by al-Ḥākim (1/32), Aḥmad (6/129-130), Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim in "al-Sunnah" (254), al-Bazzār (131), Ibn ʿAdī (99/1), and al-Sahmī in "Tārīkh Jurjān" (357) from Saʿīd ibn Masrūq from Yūsuf ibn Abī Burdah ibn Abī Mūsá from Abū Burdah who said: I came to ʿĀʾishah and said: O mother, tell me something you heard from the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), she said: and she mentioned it as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. Al-Ḥākim said: The two shaykhs [al-Bukhārī and Muslim] used the narrators of this ḥadīth except for Yūsuf ibn Abī Burdah, and they did not abandon him due to any criticism or weakness but because of the scarcity of his ḥadīth, as his ḥadīth are very rare. Al-Dhahabī agreed with him. And this Yūsuf was also narrated from by Isrāʾīl, and Ibn Ḥibbān declared him trustworthy, so the ḥadīth is potentially ḥasan, especially since its latter part has a supporting narration from Abū Hurayrah, which will be mentioned. Al-Haythamī included the ḥadīth in "al-Majmaʿ" (7/209) and said: "It was narrated by al-Bazzār who said: It is not narrated except through this isnād, and its men are the narrators of the authentic collections except for Yūsuf ibn Abī Burdah, whom Ibn Ḥibbān declared trustworthy." He missed that it is in "al-Musnad," so he limited its attribution to al-Bazzār, which is a shortcoming. There is another path for the ḥadīth with al-Ṭaḥāwī in "Mushkil al-Āthār" (2/342) from Yaḥyá ibn Muslimah (original: Salamah) ibn Qanʿab, who narrated to us from Ḥassān ibn Ibrāhīm from Saʿd ibn Ibrāhīm from Sufyān al-Thawrī from Abū Burdah with it except that he said: "Everything is according to destiny...." And its narrators are trustworthy except for this Yaḥyá, al-ʿUqaylī said: "He narrated odd things."
