"step back, for it is not for you to walk in the middle of the road; you should keep to the sides of the road." So the woman would cling to the wall to the extent that her garment would catch on the wall from her closeness to it. It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (5272), al-Haytham ibn Kulayb in "Musnad" (p. 190/1), and al-Bayhaqī in "Shuʿab," but this Shaddād is unknown, as stated by al-Ḥāfiẓ in "Taqrīb." In summary, the ḥadīth is considered good due to the combination of the two chains, and Allāh knows best.
"استأخرن، فإنه ليس لكن أن تحققن الطريق، عليكن بحافات الطريق". فكانت المرأة تلتصق بالجدار حتى إن ثوبها ليتعلق بالجدار من لصوقها به. أخرجه أبو داود (٥٢٧٢) والهيثم بن كليب في "مسنده" (ق ١٩٠ / ١) والبيهقي في "الشعب" لكن شداد هذا مجهول، كما قال الحافظ في "التقريب". وبالجملة فالحديث حسن بمجموع الطريقين والله أعلم.

- "Beware, Abū al-Walīd, that you come on the Day of Judgment with a camel you carry on your neck that has a groan, or a cow that has a moo, or a sheep that has a bleat." It was recorded by al-Ḥumaydī in "Musnad" (895) who said: Sufyān narrated to us, who said: Ibn Ṭāwūs narrated from his father, who said: "The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) appointed ʿUbādah ibn al-Ṣāmit over the charity, then said to him," and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is authentic except that it is mursal, but al-Bayhaqī connected it in "al-Sunan" (4/158) through the route of Ibn Abī ʿUmar who narrated from Sufyān with it, except that he said: from his father from ʿUbādah that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) sent him over the charity ... the ḥadīth. Thus, this isnād is authentic according to the criteria of Muslim, and Ibn Abī ʿUmar's name is Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyá, and he is trustworthy among the teachers of Muslim and was a companion of Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah. Likewise, it was connected and recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" as in "al-Majmaʿ" (3/86) and he said: "Its men are the men of the authentic collections."
- "اتق يا أبا الوليد أن تأتي يوم القيامة ببعير تحمله على رقبتك له رغاء أو بقرة لها خوار أو شاة لها ثؤاج". أخرجه الحميدي في "مسنده" (٨٩٥) قال: حدثنا سفيان قال: حدثنا ابن طاووس عن أبيه قال: "استعمل رسول الله ﷺ عبادة بن الصامت على الصدقة، ثم قال له" فذكره. قلت: وهذا إسناد صحيح لولا أنه مرسل لكن قد وصله البيهقي في "السنن" (٤ / ١٥٨) من طريق ابن أبي عمر حدثنا سفيان به إلا أنه قال: عن أبيه عن عبادة أن رسول الله ﷺ بعثه على الصدقة ... الحديث. فهذا إسناد صحيح على شرط مسلم، وابن أبي عمر اسمه محمد بن يحيى وهو ثقة من شيوخ مسلم وكان لازم سفيان بن عيينة. وهكذا موصولا أخرجه الطبراني في "المعجم الكبير" كما في "المجمع" (٣ / ٨٦) وقال: "ورجاله رجال الصحيح".
