I said: In my view, the ḥadīth is ḥasan due to the combination of these chains. And Allāh knows best.

"Women should not walk in the middle of the road." It was narrated by al-Mukhliṣ in "al-Fawāʾid al-Muntaqā" (9/5/2), Ibn Ḥibbān in "Ṣaḥīḥ" (1969 - Mawārid), and Ibn ʿAdī (192/1), and from him al-Bayhaqī in "al-Shuʿab" (2/475/2), from Muslim ibn Khālid al-Zanjī, who informed us from Sharīk ibn Abī Namr, from Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah, in a marfūʿ form. I said: This isnād is ḥasan with what follows. It was also narrated by al-Dūlābī (1/45) and al-Bayhaqī in "Shuʿab al-Īmān" (2/475/1) from al-Ḥārith ibn al-Ḥakam from Abū ʿAmr ibn Ḥamās in a marfūʿ form, except that he said: "the main part of the road." I said: This is a mursal narration of Abū ʿAmr ibn Ḥamās. The ḥāfiẓ said: "Acceptable, from the sixth generation, died in the year one hundred and thirty-nine." Al-Ḥārith ibn al-Ḥakam was mentioned by Ibn Abī Ḥātim in "al-Jarḥ wa-al-Taʿdīl" (1/2/73) without any criticism or endorsement. And he was contradicted by Shaddād ibn Abī ʿAmr ibn Ḥamās, who said: from his father, from Ḥamzah ibn Abī Usayd al-Anṣārī, from his father, that he heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say while he was leaving the mosque, and men and women mixed on the road, so the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said to the women:
