and he was followed by Hishām ibn Saʿd from Abū Ḥāzim. It was recorded by Muslim. Among them is from Jābir as a marfūʿ ḥadīth with similar wording. It was also recorded by Muslim and al-Nasāʾī (2/150) from Ibn Jurayj who informed me that Abū al-Zubayr heard it from Jābir. It was also recorded by al-Ṭaḥāwī. There are other supporting narrations, so refer to "(No contagion...) the ḥadīth which has passed (789).

"I and the guardian of an orphan will be like these two in Paradise," and he pointed with his index and middle fingers, and separated them slightly. It was recorded by al-Bukhārī in "Ṣaḥīḥ" (7/76) and in "Al-Adab al-Mufrad" (p. 22), Abū Dāwūd (2/336), al-Tirmidhī (1/349), and Aḥmad (5/333), and the context is from the ḥadīth of Sahl ibn Saʿd. There is a supporting narration from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah, which I have documented in the other book (1637), but it is authentic with different wording, which is: "the guardian of an orphan," and it will appear under number (960). Another supporting narration is from the ḥadīth of Umm Saʿīd bint Murrah al-Fahri from her father as a marfūʿ ḥadīth with similar wording. It was recorded by al-Bukhārī in "Al-Adab al-Mufrad." Its chain of transmission is acceptable; all its narrators are those of the two Shaykhs except for Umm Saʿīd, who is acceptable, but the narration from her, which is by Anīsah, is not well-known as mentioned in "Al-Taqrīb."
