al-Ḥasan." It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī (1/123/1). This isnād is good; all its narrators are reliable except for this al-Dhahhalī, whom the ḥāfiẓ described in "al-Taqrīb" as "acceptable." In al-Haythamī's version of "al-Muʿjam," the name "Muḥammad ibn" was omitted, so he did not recognize him and said (9/183): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and it includes Marwān al-Dhahhalī, whom I do not know, and the rest of its narrators are those of the authentic collections." Then al-Ṭabarānī recorded it through the route of Sayf ibn Muḥammad, who informed us from Sufyān, from Abū al-Jaḥḥāf and Ḥabīb ibn Abī Thābit, from Abū Ḥāzim, without the addition. But this Sayf was accused of lying, so his narration is not used as evidence. As for the ḥadīth of Jābir, it is narrated by Jābir—who is al-Juʿfī—from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Sābiṭ, from him, who said: the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said, and he mentioned it. It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī and Ibn ʿAsākir (4/256/1). Al-Haythamī said: "And Jābir al-Juʿfī is weak." I say: but he was not alone in narrating it, for he was followed by al-Rabīʿ ibn Saʿd, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Sābiṭ, with it, but his wording was: "Whoever wishes to look at the master of the youth of Paradise, let him look at this one. Meaning al-Ḥasan. In another narration: al-Ḥusayn." It was recorded by Ibn Ḥibbān (2236) and Ibn ʿAsākir, and he said:
