(Note) al-Suyūṭī included this ḥadīth of Abū Saʿīd in "al-Jāmiʿ al-Ṣaghīr" with the two additions from the narrations of Aḥmad, Abū Yaʿlá, Ibn Ḥibbān, al-Ṭabarānī, and al-Ḥākim! It is evident that this causes confusion and misunderstanding, as none of them narrated it as he presented it, except perhaps Abū Yaʿlá and al-Ṭabarānī, which is highly unlikely. Moreover, the first addition was only narrated by Aḥmad, Abū Yaʿlá, and al-Ḥākim, and the other addition was only narrated by al-Ḥākim! al-Munāwī left the ḥadīth blank and did not notice this confusion that occurred with al-Suyūṭī! There is a third chain of narration from Abū Saʿīd. It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī (1 / 123 / 1) and its isnād is good, with trustworthy men except for Ḥarb ibn Ḥasan al-Ṭaḥḥān, about whom al-Azdī said: his ḥadīth is not of that quality. Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt". 2 - As for the ḥadīth of Ḥudhayfah, there are three chains of narration from him: The first: from Isrāʾīl from Maysarah al-Nahdī from al-Minhāl ibn ʿAmr from Zur ibn Ḥubaysh from him, he said: "I came to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and I prayed with him the Maghrib, then he stood to pray until he prayed the ʿIshāʾ (original: the morning!) then he went out, and I followed him. He said: An angel appeared to me, seeking permission from his Lord to greet me and give me the glad tidings that al-Ḥasan and al-Ḥusayn are the leaders of the youth of Paradise." It was recorded by al-Tirmidhī (2 / 307), Ibn Ḥibbān (2229), Aḥmad (5 / 391), al-Ṭabarānī (1 / 123 / 1), al-Khaṭīb (6 / 372), and Ibn ʿAsākir in "Tārīkh Dimashq" (4 / 255/ 2) from two paths from Isrāʾīl with it, and al-Tirmidhī and Aḥmad added:
