and it was relied upon by the ḥāfiẓ in "al-Taqrīb." The ḥadīth has two supporting narrations: the first is from Anas ibn Mālik, raised [to the Prophet] similarly. It was recorded by al-Ṭaḥāwī through the route of ʿUtbah ibn Ḥumayd who said: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Bakr narrated to me from him. This isnād is ḥasan, ʿUtbah ibn Ḥumayd is truthful but has some errors, and the rest of the narrators are trustworthy. The other is from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī, raised [to the Prophet] similarly but without the phrase "nor any ill omen." It was also recorded by al-Ṭaḥāwī through the route of Ibn Abī Laylá from ʿAṭiyyah from him. This isnād is ḥasan in supporting narrations. There are other supporting narrations, so refer to the following ḥadīth with the wording: "If there was bad luck..." number (799).

- "Leave them, they are blameworthy." It is from the ḥadīth of Anas who said: A man said: O Messenger of Allāh, we were in a house where our numbers and wealth were abundant, then we moved to another house, and our numbers and wealth decreased there. The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. It was recorded by al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (132) and Abū Dāwūd (2 - 159) through the route of Bishr ibn ʿUmar al-Zuhrānī from ʿIkrimah ibn ʿAmmār, from Isḥāq ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Ṭalḥah from him.
