It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (10/139, 197-198), Muslim (7/31), Abū Dāwūd (2/158), and Aḥmad (2/267) through the route of Ibn Shihāb, who informed me from Abū Salamah ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān from Abū Hurayrah, in a marfūʿ form. It was also recorded by al-Ṭaḥāwī in "Sharḥ al-Maʿānī" (2/378). There is another route narrated by Abū Ṣāliḥ from him. It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (10/176) and al-Ṭaḥāwī without the statement of the Bedouin and his response. It was also narrated by al-ʿAlāʾ ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān from his father from him. It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (2/158) and Aḥmad (2/397). Its chain is authentic according to the criteria of Muslim, and it contains "nawʾ" instead of "ṭīrah," and it was also recorded by Muslim (7/32). There is a corroborating narration from the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿUmar similar to the ḥadīth of Abū Salamah. It was recorded by Ibn Mājah (1/44, 2/363) and Aḥmad (2/24-25) through the route of Wakīʿ, who narrated to us from Abū Janāb from his father from Ibn ʿUmar, in a marfūʿ form. This chain is weak; Abū Janāb, whose name is Yaḥyá ibn Abī Ḥayyah, is weak, and his son is unknown. Ibn ʿAmr has another abbreviated ḥadīth, which will appear soon under number (788).
