and the first part was narrated by Ibn ʿAdī (274/2) from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Nāfiʿ from Kathīr ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Muzanī from his father from his grandfather, elevated [to the Prophet], who said: "This Kathīr, most of his ḥadīths are not followed by others." However, it has a supporting narration better than this, with the wording: "Leave the Abyssinians as long as they leave you alone, and leave the Turks as long as they leave you alone." It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (2/210) through the route of al-Sībānī from Abū Sukaynah, a man from the freedmen, from a man among the Companions of the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) that he said it, and it was recorded by al-Nasāʾī (2/64-65) in a long ḥadīth. I said: This isnād is acceptable for supporting narrations, all its men are trustworthy except for this Abū Sukaynah, about whom the ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Taqrīb": "It is said his name is Muḥallam, and there is a difference of opinion regarding his companionship." I said: If his companionship is not established, then he is an obscure Successor, from whom three narrated, so the ḥadīth is a good supporting evidence for the first part of the ḥadīth of the chapter, and the second part of it has a supporting narration with the wording: "The Kaʿbah will be destroyed by a man with thin legs from Abyssinia." It was recorded by the two Shaykhs and Aḥmad (2/310, 317) through routes from Abū Hurayrah, elevated [to the Prophet]. It has another route from him in "al-Mustadrak" (4/452-453). And a supporting narration from the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿUmar, elevated with a similar wording. It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/220).
