- "Do not curse the fever, for it removes the sins of the children of Adam just as the bellows remove the impurities of iron." Narrated by Muslim (8/16), al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (516), and al-Bayhaqī (3/377) through the route of Abū al-Zubayr, who reported from Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh: "The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) entered upon Umm al-Sāʾib or Umm al-Musayyib and said: 'What is wrong with you, O Umm al-Sāʾib or O Umm al-Musayyib, that you are shivering?' She said: 'The fever—may Allāh not bless it.' He said: ..." and he mentioned it. It was also narrated by Ibn Mājah (2/348) from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah with a similar wording but without the story. It includes Mūsá ibn ʿUbaydah, who is weak.

- "The mosque is the house of every pious person." Narrated by Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (6/176) and al-Qaḍāʿī in "Musnad al-Shihāb" (1/140/2) through two routes from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muʿāwiyah al-Jumaḥī, who reported from Ṣāliḥ ibn Bashīr al-Marī, from al-Jarīrī, from Abū ʿUthmān, who said: "Salman wrote to Abū al-Dardāʾ: 'O my brother, adhere to the mosque, for I heard the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say ...'" and he mentioned it. Abū Nuʿaym said: "It is a rare ḥadīth from Ṣāliḥ, and we have not written it except from this route." I say: And Ṣāliḥ is weak.
