and it was narrated by some unknown individuals from Abū al-Ṣiddīq in an extended form, so it belongs to another book (1588).

"Rejoice and give glad tidings to those behind you that whoever sincerely testifies that there is no deity but Allāh will enter Paradise." It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/402, 411) through two chains from Ḥammād ibn Salamah, who narrated to us from Abū ʿImrān al-Jawnī, from Abū Bakr ibn Abī Mūsá, from his father, who said: "I came to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) with a group of my people, and he said: (and he mentioned it). We left the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) to give glad tidings to the people, and ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb met us and brought us back to the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), who said: 'Who sent you back?' They said: 'ʿUmar.' He said: 'Why did you send them back, O ʿUmar?' ʿUmar replied: 'If they do so, people will rely on it.' The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) then remained silent." I say: This isnād is authentic according to the criteria of Muslim, and Abū ʿImrān al-Jawnī's name is ʿAbd al-Malik ibn Ḥabīb al-Azdī. As for Abū Bakr ibn Abī Mūsá, they did not mention his name. Al-Nasāʾī narrated—and perhaps it is in "al-Kubrā"—from Sahl ibn Ḥunayf and from Zayd ibn Khālid al-Juhanī in a marfūʿ form with the wording: "Give glad tidings to the people that whoever says: 'There is no deity but Allāh alone, without partner,' Paradise is guaranteed for him." It was mentioned in "al-Majmaʿ" (1/18) from the narration of al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" from Zayd ibn Khālid, and he said: "Its narrators are trustworthy."
