he said: Abū Qatādah, I think, used to comb it twice every day. And this al-Jurashī, I do not know him, nor the elders! Then it was narrated through two chains from Muḥammad ibn al-Munkadir as mursal and he said: "It is more authentic, and the connected version is weak."

"Unity is mercy, and division is punishment." It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/278) and by him and his son ʿAbd Allāh in "al-Zawāʾid" (4/375) and al-Quḍāʿī (3/1) from Abū Wakiʿ al-Jarrāḥ ibn Malīḥ from Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān from al-Shaʿbī from al-Nuʿmān ibn Bashīr who said: The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said it, and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is good, its men are trustworthy, and concerning Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān whose name is al-Qāsim ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, there is some discussion, but his ḥadīth does not fall below the rank of ḥasan, and likewise al-Jarrāḥ ibn Malīḥ. And the ḥadīth was attributed by al-Suyūṭī to ʿAbd Allāh and al-Quḍāʿī only, which is incomplete. And know that the ḥadīth with Aḥmad and his son is a part of a ḥadīth whose full text is: "Whoever does not thank for the little does not thank for the much, and whoever does not thank people does not thank Allāh, and speaking of the blessing of Allāh is gratitude, and leaving it is disbelief, and unity..." And al-Suyūṭī mentioned it in full from the narration of al-Bayhaqī only in "Shuʿab al-Īmān"! with the phrase "speaking of the blessing of Allāh is gratitude" mentioned first.

- "The sign of faith is love for the Anṣār, and the sign of hypocrisy is hatred for the Anṣār." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (1/10/4/223), Muslim (1/60), and al-Nasāʾī (2/271)
