as for Ibn ʿAdī, he considered them to be one, as he did not provide a separate biography for this al-Muzanī and included his ḥadīth found in al-Nasāʾī's work under the biography of Ibn Abī al-Ṣahbāʾ. This is very plausible as they shared three things: both were from Basra, both were known by the kunyah Abū al-Mundhir, and both narrated from Thābit. Such agreements are usually found in different narrators. And Allāh knows best.
وأما ابن عدي فجعلهما واحدا، فإنه لم يترجم للمزني هذا وساق حديثه الذي عندالنسائي في ترجمة ابن أبي الصهباء، وهو أمر محتمل جدا فقد اشتركا في ثلاثةأشياء، فكل منهما بصري ويكنى بأبي المنذر ويروي عن ثابت ويعد عادة مثل هذاالاتفاق، في الراويين المختلفين. والله أعلم.
"it is greater in blessing, meaning the food that has lost its initial heat and steam." It was recorded by al-Dārimī (2/100), Ibn Ḥibbān in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (1344), al-Ḥākim (4/118), and al-Bayhaqī (7/280) from Qurrat ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, from Ibn Shihāb, from ʿUrwah ibn al-Zubayr, from Asmāʾ bint Abī Bakr: "that she used to cover the dish until its initial heat and steam dissipated, then she would say: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say" and she mentioned it. Al-Ḥākim said: "Authentic according to the criteria of Muslim in supporting narrations." Al-Dhahabī agreed with him, and it is as they said. ʿUqayl ibn Khālid also followed him in narrating from Ibn Shihāb. It was recorded by Aḥmad (6/350) and Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (8/177) through the route of ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Mubārak, who narrated from Ibn Lahīʿah, who narrated from ʿUqayl. Abū Nuʿaym said: "It is a rare narration from Ibn al-Mubārak from Ibn Lahīʿah." I say: its isnād is authentic, its men are trustworthy, for Ibn Lahīʿah's ḥadīth is sound when narrated by the ʿAbādilah, among whom is this Ibn al-Mubārak. Al-Haythamī said about the ḥadīth (5/19): "Aḥmad narrated it with two isnāds, one of which is disconnected, and in the other is Ibn Lahīʿah, whose ḥadīth is good but has weakness. Al-Ṭabarānī also narrated it, and in it is Qurrat ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, whom Ibn Ḥibbān and others deemed trustworthy, while Ibn Maʿīn and others considered weak, and the rest of their men are those of the authentic collections."
- " إنه أعظم للبركة. يعني الطعام الذي ذهب فوره ودخانه ". أخرجه الدارمي (٢ / ١٠٠) وابن حبان في " صحيحه " (١٣٤٤) والحاكم (٤ / ١١٨) والبيهقي (٧ / ٢٨٠) عن قرة بن عبد الرحمن عن ابن شهاب عن عروة بن الزبير عن أسماء بنت أبي بكر: " أنها كانت إذا ثردت غطته شيئا حتى يذهب فوره ودخانه، ثم تقول: إني سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول " فذكره. وقال الحاكم: " صحيح على شرط مسلم في الشواهد ". ووافقه الذهبي، وهو كما قالا. وقد تابعه عقيل بن خالد عن ابن شهاب به. أخرجه أحمد (٦ / ٣٥٠) وأبو نعيم في " الحلية " (٨ / ١٧٧) من طريق عبد الله ابن المبارك حدثنا ابن لهيعة حدثني عقيل به. وقال أبو نعيم: " غريب من حديث ابن المبارك عن ابن لهيعة ". قلت: وإسناده صحيح رجاله ثقات، فإن ابن لهيعة صحيح الحديث إذا روى عنه العبادلة ومنهم ابن المبارك هذا. والحديث قال الهيثمي (٥ / ١٩) : " رواه أحمد بإسنادين أحدهما منقطع، وفي الآخر ابن لهيعة وحديثه حسن وفيه ضعف، ورواه الطبراني وفيه قرة بن عبد الرحمن، وثقه ابن حبان وغيره وضعفه ابن معين وغيره وبقية رجالهما رجال الصحيح ".
