I said: The verification is that the phrase "ibn Ḥuḍayr" is an error from some of its narrators, and the correct version is "ibn Ẓuhayr." al-Ḥāfiẓ al-Mizzī said in the biography of Ibn Ḥuḍayr after narrating the ḥadīth from the route of Hārūn ibn ʿAbd Allāh from Ḥammād ibn Masʿadah from Ibn Jurayj: "It is an error. Hārūn said: Aḥmad said: It is in the book of Ibn Jurayj 'Usayd ibn Ẓuhayr, but this is how they narrated it in Basra. ʿAbd al-Razzāq and others narrated it from Ibn Jurayj from ʿIkrimah from Usayd ibn Ẓuhayr, and this is correct."
