and al-Ḍiyāʾ al-Maqdisī in "al-Aḥādīth al-Mukhtārah" (16/1) and al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Ḥajar in "al-Aḥādīth al-ʿĀliyāt" (no. 25) said: "A ḥadīth ḥasan narrated by Ibn Mājah, Abū Yaʿlá, and al-Ṭabarānī." I said: It has supporting narrations from Jābir and others, found in Ibn ʿAsākir, which elevate the ḥadīth to the level of authenticity. As for Ibn Mājah, he narrated (3737) only the story of the kunya. Al-Būṣīrī said in "al-Zawāʾid": "Its isnād is ḥasan." Aḥmad narrated it (6/16) in full and added: "and returned the greeting of peace." Its isnād is ḥasan, and although it includes Zuhayr, who is Ibn Muḥammad al-Tamīmī al-Khurāsānī, it is from the narration of non-Shāmīs about him, and it is sound. Then Aḥmad narrated it (6/333) through the route of Zayd ibn Aslam that ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb said to Ṣuhayb: and mentioned it similarly. Its narrators are trustworthy, but it is disconnected between Zayd and ʿUmar. It has a supporting narration with Luwayn from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah, marfūʿ. Its narrators are trustworthy except for Abū ʿUbayd, the freed slave of ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, who narrates it from Abū Hurayrah, for whom I did not find a biography. Among the benefits of the ḥadīth, in this ḥadīth are benefits: the first is the permissibility of adopting a kunya for someone who does not have a child, and it has been authenticated in al-Bukhārī and others
