I said: this has been authenticated, so the issue lies with Jaʿfar, as al-Bukhārī greatly weakened him by saying: "very weak in ḥadīth." However, he was not the only one to narrate it, as it also came through another route from Ibn ʿUmar, recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (3/203/2) through two chains from Saʿīd ibn Abī Maryam, who informed us from Yaḥyá ibn Ayyūb, from ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Zahr, from Layth ibn Abī Sulaym, from Mujāhid, from him, raised [to the Prophet]. Its narrators are trustworthy except for Ibn Zahr and Ibn Abī Sulaym, as they are weak due to their memory. Their ḥadīth is strengthened by what Salamah ibn Wardān narrated, who said: I heard Anas ibn Mālik say: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it and added: "When 'When the Earth is shaken' is a quarter of the Qurʾān, and 'When the victory of Allāh comes' is a quarter of the Qurʾān." It was recorded by Aḥmad (3/146-147), al-Khaṭīb in "Tārīkh Baghdād" (11/380), and al-Tirmidhī (2/147) who said: "A good ḥadīth." Its narrators are trustworthy except for Salamah, as he is weak due to poor memory as well. Thus, the ḥadīth is good when considering all its routes, especially since there is another route from Anas, and another corroborating report from Ibn ʿAbbās, both of which are recorded in "al-Silsilah al-Ukhrá" (1342), and there is a third corroborating report from the ḥadīth of Saʿd ibn Abī Waqqāṣ, raised [to the Prophet], recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Ṣaghīr" (p. 32) and from him by Abū Nuʿaym in "Akhbār Aṣbahān" (1/105), and al-Ṭabarānī said: "Zakariyyā ibn ʿAṭiyyah is the sole narrator of it." I said: he is unknown. The ḥadīth was mentioned by al-Ḥāfiẓ in "Nataʾij al-Afkār" through this route of al-Ṭabarānī and he criticized it for the unknown status, then he said:
