and this Mughīrah is truthful as the ḥāfiẓ said, but I am in doubt about the authenticity of this addition attributed to him, and I do not have the isnād of the ḥadīth available to me now to review it again. Since I had transmitted it from the two mentioned sources, I only transmitted its upper section mentioned here, and I fear that this addition might be interpolated into the ḥadīth. Al-Dārimī narrated (2/455): ʿAffān narrated to us, Ḥammād ibn Salamah narrated to us, Abū al-Zubayr informed us from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ḍumrah from Kaʿb who said: "Whoever recites Sūrah al-Sajdah and Sūrah al-Mulk will have seventy good deeds written for him, seventy sins erased, and he will be raised seventy degrees." I said: This isnād is disconnected but its narrators are reliable, the men of Muslim except for ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ḍumrah, who was deemed trustworthy by al-ʿAjlī and Ibn Ḥibbān, and a group of reliable narrators reported from him. The investigation of this addition requires further verification, and I hope that this will be facilitated for me soon.

- " * (Say: O disbelievers) * is equivalent to a quarter of the Qurʾān." It was recorded by Ibn ʿAdī in "al-Kāmil" (Q 55/1) and al-Ḥākim (1/566 - summary) through the route of Ghassān ibn al-Rabīʿ who narrated to us from Jaʿfar ibn Maysarah al-Ashjaʿī from his father from Nāfiʿ from Ibn ʿUmar who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. Al-Ḥākim said: "The isnād is authentic." Al-Dhahabī critiqued it by saying: "I say: Rather, Jaʿfar ibn Maysarah is very weak in ḥadīth. Abū Ḥātim said this, and Ghassān was weakened by al-Dāraqutnī."
