al-Azdī, who was deemed trustworthy by Ibn Saʿd, Ibn Ḥibbān, and al-ʿAjlī, and no one narrated from him except his nephew Salamah ibn Kuhayl. I found another elevated witness for the ḥadīth, which is explicit in the previous disagreement regarding "the shin," and its chain of transmission is strong. I wanted to present it to the readers due to its rarity and clarity, and it is: "When Allāh gathers the servants on one plain, a caller will announce: 'Let every people follow what they used to worship,' and the people will remain as they are. Then He will come to them and say: 'What is the matter that the people have gone and you are still here?' They will say: 'We are waiting for our Lord.' He will say: 'Do you recognize Him?' They will say: 'When He reveals Himself to us, we will recognize Him.' Then He will uncover His shin, and they will fall in prostration, and that is the saying of Allāh, the Exalted: * (The Day the shin will be uncovered and they are invited to prostration but they will not be able to) * and every hypocrite will remain, unable to prostrate, then He will lead them to Paradise."

It was recorded by al-Dārimī in "Sunan" (2/326): Muḥammad ibn Yazīd al-Bazzāz informed us from Yūnus ibn Bukayr, who said: Ibn Isḥāq informed me, who said: Saʿīd ibn Yasār informed me, who said: I heard Abū Hurayrah say: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: and he mentioned it. I said: And this is a good chain of transmission; its men are trustworthy, the men of the authentic collections, except that Ibn Isḥāq was only included by Muslim as a corroborative narrator.
