for including his ḥadīth in "Ṣaḥīḥ," which he does not deserve, and at best, it is ḥasan li-ghayrih [good due to other supporting evidence], for it has another chain similar to it that will be mentioned after three ḥadīths.

- "It is obligatory for every Muslim to give charity." It was said: "What if he cannot find [anything to give]?" He said: "He should work with his hands, benefit himself, and give in charity." It was said: "What if he is unable to do so?" He said: "He should help someone in dire need." It was said: "What if he cannot do that?" He said: "He should enjoin what is good." It was said: "What if he does not do that?" He said: "He should refrain from evil, for that is charity." Narrated by al-Bukhārī (2/121) and in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (35-46), Muslim (3/83) with this wording, al-Nasāʾī (1/351), al-Ṭayālisī (p. 67, no. 495), and Aḥmad (4/395, 411) from the ḥadīth of Abū Mūsá al-Ashʿarī, raised [to the Prophet], and likewise narrated by al-Dārimī (2/309). The last sentence of it has supporting evidence from the ḥadīth of Abū Mūsá, which will be mentioned soon in the takhrīj.

- "For every limb of the children of Adam, there is charity." Narrated by Aḥmad (2/395): Hudhah narrated to us, ʿAwf narrated from Khallās from Abū Hurayrah, raised [to the Prophet]. This is an authentic isnād; its men are the men of the six [books] except for Hudhah, who is Ibn Khalīfah and is trustworthy. It is an abridgment: "For every joint of the people, there is charity," and it will be mentioned.

- "For every soul, every day the sun rises, there is charity from him for himself." I said: "O Messenger of Allāh, from where can I give charity when we have no wealth?" He said: "Because among the doors of charity are saying 'Allāhu akbar,' 'subḥān Allāh,' 'al-ḥamdu lillāh,' 'lā ilāha illā Allāh,' 'I seek forgiveness from Allāh,' enjoining what is good, forbidding what is evil, removing a thorn from the path of people, and a bone and a stone, guiding the blind, and making the deaf and mute understand until they comprehend
