Abū Dāwūd also recorded it (2/304) and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Ṣaghīr" (p. 37) through two other chains from Ibn al-Hād with it. This is a sound isnād; its narrators are reliable, the narrators of the two Shaykhs, except for ʿAbd al-Wahhāb, who is Ibn Abī Bakr: Rafīʿ al-Madanī, the agent of al-Zuhrī. Abū Ḥātim said: He is reliable, his ḥadīth is sound, and there is no harm in him, among the early companions of al-Zuhrī. Al-Nasāʾī said: Reliable. He was followed up, as Aḥmad said: Yaʿqūb narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to us from Ṣāliḥ ibn Kaysān, saying: Muḥammad ibn Muslim ibn ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Shihāb narrated to us with the wording: that she heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: "The liar is not the one who reconciles between people, conveying good or saying good." And she said: I did not hear him permit anything people say except in three... so he mentioned it in the second narration. Muslim also recorded it (8/28) from Yaʿqūb ibn Ibrāhīm ibn Saʿd with it, and al-Bukhārī recorded it (5/328-329 Fatḥ) from the route of ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn ʿAbd Allāh, Ibrāhīm ibn Saʿd narrated to us with it. Without his saying "And she said: I did not hear him..." Muslim recorded it from the route of Yūnus from Ibn Shihāb in its entirety, except that he made this addition attributed to the saying of Ibn Shihāb, saying: "Ibn Shihāb said: And I did not hear him permit anything..." According to this narration, the addition is not elevated but rather from the words of al-Zuhrī, and for this reason, the ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Fatḥ": "This addition is interpolated, as Muslim indicated in his narration from the route of Yūnus from al-Zuhrī, so he mentioned the ḥadīth, saying: And al-Zuhrī said." Al-Nasāʾī also recorded it separately from the narration of Yūnus
