"and it was narrated by Hannād from ʿAmr ibn Murrah ... and due to the multiplicity of these paths, the author indicated its good status." I said: Rather, it is authentic. For it has a corroborating mursal narration that is authentic, recorded by Aḥmad in "al-Zuhd" (pp. 5-6) through the route of Jarīr ibn Ḥāzim who said: I heard al-Ḥasan say: "When the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was brought food, he would order it to be placed on the ground and say" and he mentioned it... And its chain is an authentic mursal. And the first part of it was recorded by al-Marwazī in "Zawāʾid al-Zuhd" (995) through the route of Ismāʿīl ibn Muslim from al-Ḥasan with it. And it was also recorded by Aḥmad (p. 5) through the route of ʿAbdah ibn Ayman from ʿAṭāʾ ibn Abī Rabāḥ with it similarly as mursal. Its narrators are trustworthy except for ʿAbdah ibn Ayman, whom I do not know. And it was recorded by al-Bazzār and through his route by Abū Nuʿaym in "Akhbār Aṣbahān" (2/273) from the ḥadīth of ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿUmar as marfūʿ with it, except for the second part.
" ورواه هناد عن عمرو بن مرة ... ولتعدد هذه الطرق رمز المؤلف لحسنه ". قلت: بل هو صحيح. فإن له شاهدا مرسلا صحيحا أخرجه أحمد في " الزهد " (ص ٥ - ٦) من طريق جرير بن حازم قال: سمعت الحسن يقول: " كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا أتي بطعام أمر به فألقي على الأرض وقال " فذكره ... وإسناده مرسل صحيح. وأخرج الطرف الأول منه المروزي في " زوائد الزهد " (٩٩٥) من طريق إسماعيل بن مسلم عن الحسن به. وأخرجه أحمد أيضا (ص ٥) من طريق عبدة بن أيمن عن عطاء بن أبي رباح به نحوه مرسلا. ورجاله ثقات غير عبدة بن أيمن فلم أعرفه. وأخرجه البزار ومن طريقه أبو نعيم في " أخبار أصبهان " (٢ / ٢٧٣) من حديث عبد الله بن عمر مرفوعا به، دون الشطر الثاني.

"The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) permitted lying in three cases: in war, in reconciliation between people, and a man's words to his wife. (In another narration): and a man's conversation with his wife and a woman's conversation with her husband." It was recorded by Imām Aḥmad (6/404): Ḥajjāj narrated to us, he said: Ibn Jurayj narrated to us from Ibn Shihāb from Ḥumayd ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAwf from his mother Umm Kulthūm bint ʿUqbah that she said: and he mentioned it. I said: And this chain is according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs, but they did not record it from this route, rather from another route from al-Zuhrī as will come. Then Imām Aḥmad said: Yūnus ibn Muḥammad narrated to us, he said: Layth, meaning ibn Saʿd, narrated to us from Yazīd, meaning ibn al-Hād, from ʿAbd al-Wahhāb from Ibn Shihāb with it
" رخص النبي ﷺ من الكذب في ثلاث: في الحرب وفي الإصلاح بين الناس وقول الرجل لامرأته. (وفي رواية): وحديث الرجل امرأته وحديث المرأة زوجها ". أخرجه الإمام أحمد (٦ / ٤٠٤): حدثنا حجاج قال: حدثنا ابن جريج عن ابن شهاب عن حميد بن عبد الرحمن بن عوف عن أمه أم كلثوم بنت عقبة أنها قالت: فذكره. قلت: وهذا إسناد على شرط الشيخين ولم يخرجاه من هذا الوجه وإنما من وجه آخر عن الزهري كما يأتي. ثم قال الإمام أحمد: حدثنا يونس بن محمد قال: حدثنا ليث يعني بن سعد عن يزيد يعني بن الهاد عن عبد الوهاب عن ابن شهاب به.
