Qudāmah narrated to us from Bishr ibn ʿUmar through it. al-Tirmidhī said: "A good and unique ḥadīth; we do not know anyone who reported it with an isnād except Bishr ibn ʿUmar." al-Mundhirī commented on it in "al-Targhīb" (3/288-289): "This Bishr is trustworthy; al-Bukhārī, Muslim, and others relied on him, and I do not know of any criticism against him." It was also recorded by al-Ḍiyāʾ al-Maqdisī in "al-Aḥādīth al-Mukhtārah" (59/200/1).

"I do not shake hands with women; my statement to a hundred women is like my statement to one woman." It was recorded by Mālik (2/982/2), and by al-Nasāʾī in "ʿIshrat al-Nisāʾ" from his "al-Sunan al-Kubrā" (2/93/2), as well as by Ibn Ḥibbān (14) and Aḥmad (6/357) from Muḥammad ibn al-Munkadir from Umaymah bint Ruqayqah, who said: "I came to the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) with a group of women to pledge allegiance to him on Islam. They said: O Messenger of Allāh, we pledge allegiance to you that we will not associate anything with Allāh, nor steal, nor commit adultery, nor kill our children, nor bring forth a slander we have invented between our hands and feet, nor disobey you in what is right. The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: as much as you are able and capable. She said: They said: Allāh and His Messenger are more merciful to us than ourselves. Come, let us pledge allegiance to you, O Messenger of Allāh. The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) then mentioned it." It was also recorded by al-Nasāʾī in "al-Mujtabá" (2/184), al-Tirmidhī (1/302), Ibn Mājah (2874), Aḥmad, and al-Ḥumaydī in his Musnad (341) through the route of Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah from Muḥammad ibn al-Munkadir through it, except that al-Ḥumaydī and al-Tirmidhī abbreviated it and added this after saying: "Come, let us pledge allegiance to you": "Sufyān said: meaning, shake hands with us." And it is recorded by Aḥmad in the wording: "We said: O Messenger of Allāh, will you not shake hands with us?" al-Tirmidhī said: "A good and authentic ḥadīth."
